Well done on finally getting your histology results

The amount of time between scans has not got anything to do with your age, but more to do with the staging/grade of your cancer.

Thank you buttercup01 that's so reassuring it's just that someone who has the same results as me only he's grade 3 and only 40 has scans 3 monthly so I thought maybe an age thing x

Meaning that they think so much radiation isn't good for someone older x

After my op I had six monthly for two years but I was PT3a grade 3 - so a considerably different histology - so not even 3 monthly and I was 44 at the time.

I have them 3 monthly now that I'm stage 4.

Your results sounds pretty positive - I'd be taking much hope from them

I was just a bit unlucky with the positioning of it, not quite central so it had started to spread in to the fat. They thought they had a good margin but it must have already been travelling.
