Both the Living with incurable cancer n the Melanoma groups have recently started up a thread based on the idea of listing 3 good things (at the end of ) each day. It's rather like the idea of using a gratitude journal, but is easier n quicker to do. It also focusses the mind.
Mine for today -
Hi Buttercup, lovely idea. My 3 things for today,
.....treating us, my son, his partner and my grandkids to a takeaway dinner in the garden. I often cook a family dinner but Im off food at the moment and cookings a chore most days. It was lovely...no washing up lol
My grandaughter, aged 4, picking up an empty snail shell and asking where the snail had gone?
My grandaughter, again, running to tell me, excitedly ,that our dog (male)he has just stood on 3 legs Nana! One leg in in air! Like this Nana, as she tried to copy. I didnt get round to mentioning he was having a wee cos I was laughing too much
Xx

Loved your 3 good things, Ethelmay especially the ones from your granddaughter x

Hi , I’ve just been told I have kidney cancer after a CT scan for a different medical complaint , it’s all very daunting
Hello Gary56
Welcome to the community n the Kidney cancer group especially . I can understand u feeing daunted
Kidney cancer is slow growing compared to other cancers. The usual way of dealing with it is by surgery .
IF u get secondaries there are many drugs available to treat these n more being developed each year.
So though it's scary, it's doable
There are lots of ppl in this group who can support u.
If you've any questions, do ask us.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
