In April was rushed into hospital as very unwell only to find out that my cancer treatment has now caused me to have Type 1 diabetes.  Its been a struggle to come to terms with all of this as now having to inject myself 4 times a day with insulin.  However at the moment my cancer is stable.  Has anybody else had this problem?

Take care

Betty

  • I think   experienced this.  Diabetes is a known side effect of immunotherapy, unfortunately.  Tagged her as I'm not sure she's a member of this group.  We're both in the incurables group.

  • Thanx 4 replying. I will post it in the incurable cancer group as I'm also a member there. Take care.

  • I am going through this right now and am struggling with being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and all that goes with it.  How are you coping?  I have had mixed responses that the diabetes could potentially be reversed - have you heard this?
