Hi,
My husband is 6 days post laparoscopic radical nephrectomy and this morning noticed a very small amount of blood in his urine. Anyone else experienced this?
Thanks
I had open surgery, ie big incision, so can't help - sorry. Sounds reasonable to get blood in urine after a nephrectomy. What do others think?
Thanks Buttercup. We managed to speak to someone at the hospital and they think it’s probably slight damage from the catheter but to get in touch if it gets worse.
I think its possible I had blood in my urine after I had my catheter removed it was the colour of tea without milk for a day or two .Was anyone told their remaining kidney had dropped I function like myself, ive yet to have my follow up appointment , but I went to the doctors yesterday and requested a blood test to find out what the function is now await the result.and I was given no advice about diet.carol x
Hi caza 123
i has a radical nephrectomy six months ago. My GP arranged monthly blood tests for 4 months to check on function. I found it very reassuring to be monitored so carefully
