My husband was diagnosed January 2020 with Stage 4 RCC but was obvious he had been undiagnosed for almost a year. First line of defence was to operate and pin remove the tumour in his shoulder was was nearly about to break the bone. After healing was started on TKI which proved to be completely intolerable. Now he has an infusion of Nivolumab every 4 weeks.. three weeks ago today he had a CT scan previous one was 5 months ago . We have had no letters no phonecall or appointment .Feeling really let down by his Oncologist. I know they are busy but really doesn't help.
Hi #peggy6
Have you tried his cancer nurse specialist? They may be able to give you answers more than the oncologist can. Or contact his/ her secretary.
You can also ring the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 0000.
Hope this helps, . Your situation seems intolerable. There's also the PALS service in most hospitals, if you want to lodge a complaint.
Good luck,.
Sue
