Hi,
I posted a few weeks back about hoping to have bleomycin dropped after interim pet scan but results didn't give me that option unfortunately.
Almost all of the cancer is gone which is good and the axilla mass has shrunk from 8cm x 6cm to 3cm x 2cm and because of this now one area my mdt team want me to move to Esc beacopdac for 2 cycles plus radiotherapy.
Looking for advice on experience from moving to esc beacopdac or even from those that were on just beacopdac, how much more toxic did it feel, how tolerable etc.
Going in at 10am tomorrow to start and a bit anxious to be honest, never had anxiety or anything like it in my life, wasn't really an emotional person at all till cancer tapped me on the shoulder and said hello.
Hi there!
good news it shrunk so much. I was exactly the same as you, I move to EscBEACOPP for 4 cycles. It is a tough one, but doable. They are 3 long days, the first is the hardest for me. I lost my hair and fertility during this regime. However there were 2 other girls at the same time as me having this regime and they got a clear scan after and continue to do really well. Even 1 is pregnant. So you will be okay. Generally it’s fairly normal to may need a blood transfusion along the line as your Hb will drop. But your having 2 cycles so may not be required for you.
all the very best for tomorrow x
sarah
