Anyone got any tips for managing burping and stomach ache? My boy is really suffering and it's exhausting. Trying to move but hard and trying to stay hydrated and nibble plain food . Talking to his team but wondered if anyone else had this
Hi Worrymum burping and stomach issues are unfortunately normal during treatment.
My Lymphoma types and treatment are rather different but periods of burping and stomach issues…… along with difficulties eating happened a lot.
I was given PPIs (Proton Pump Inhibitors) like Lansoprazole that helped a lot as well as Peptac.
I was often living on regular small portions of food…. often just cups of good home made soups.
Stating hydrated is very important as this helps clear the system out…… but it’s hard work drinking 2 litres of water over a day but it is one of the best tools to help the stomach.
Thank you, Mike. He has ended up in hospital with an infection so they are helping him currently but good to have your reassuring advice
Sorry to hear he has an infection…… unfortunately it happens although I managed to keep clear of infections all the way though my main 2 years treatment….. let’s look further him to get home soon.
