Hello wonderful people , ulcers are starting to come any recommendations for a mouthwash please ? I have oralieve & biotene xx
Caphosol and Gelclair. Both standard for mucositis and do provide some protection.
Difflam is good fifteen minutes before trying to eat as it deadens the pain a little.
How are you feeling, Aly

Mouthwash I used lukewarm water salt and baking powder. Plus gelclair for ulcers ask tomorrow for that. The antacid and oxycetcsine 30 mins before you try to eat. That numb the throat and mouth ti be honest it didn’t really do it for me. Gelclair did help .

I thought it was a mouth wash to be honest but you take it , not sure how it’s going to numb my mouth , my throat seems ok ish xx
I’ve just asked for gelclair but she said try difflam first , I didn’t get that I got another one but they said it’s the same , Benzy something xx
Hi Aly benzydamine it’s generic name I’ve only used it for sore throat not ulcers. All yiu can do is try it then ask for gelclair .It annoys me then the hospital trusts work on money £70 for 21 sachets of gelclair ,when treatment costs thousands.Rant over.
