Hi everyone hope your all doing well haven’t been on here for some time, so I had my 3 month scan today wasn’t really the result we wanted but still hoping it’s ok, the pet scan came back with hot spot at primary sight they put camera down and it was showing a white patch the doctor said it could still be inflamed from the radiotherapy so the are doing a MRI tomorrow and the team will discuss and maybe another biopsy, I’m really nervous now about the treatment hasn’t worked absolutely crapping it to be honest, I’m just hoping it’s inflamed, will keep you all updated

Hi everyone, so had my ultrasound today and didn’t need biopsy as all lymph nodes are clear so that was a relief just got to get next Tuesday outa the way now hopefully the residue that’s showing on scans is just RT damage fingers crossed on that one

Hi everyone hope your all doing ok, so I see my consultant this morning regarding my scan results and he’s told me that he’s almost certain that what they see is scar tissue from the RT , they had a meeting at the UCH last week and the team agreed that I should now have a biopsy on the primary site to be 100% sure so I’m ok with that, it’ll be under general anaesthetic, it’s the waiting game again but I’m sort of getting used to it at least with this result I’ll know for sure, I am feeling positive though

Hi Kenny. That’s great news yes the biopsy route is belt and braces.
You sound more positive.

Hi ya Hazel yes I think it’s because this time I’ll know for sure of course I’m still feeling anxious but the consultant seemed quite confident and that helps you do feed of that
