Hello All. I was diagnosed April 2020. Left tonsil primary spread to cervical lymph nodes. 6 weeks of radiotherapy and cisplatin got the primary but not the lymph nodes. I then had a radical neck dissection. I thought I had recovered when some more lumps discovered in my neck. Excision and biopsy found active cancer. PET scan showed it has spread to my lungs. I am about to start immunotherapy. Does anyone have any experience of Pembrolizumab? I have been lurking in this forum for a while thought it was about time I said hello.

  • Hi Jambon and welcome. Sorry to read you have had to resume treatment.

If you put immunotherapy into the search function at the top of the page there are quite a few threads. Some of them are for other checkpoint inhibitors (the group of drugs which include Pembrolizumab, Nivolumab and Cemiplimab)

Hopefully some folk will get back here to help out

There have been some outstanding results with immunotherapy.

Best wishes and good luck with the treatment

Please do come back and tell us how you get on if you feel up to it. It's invaluable help for others following you
