I have done previous forums related to this and don’t know if I’m putting this in the right place but today we have seen the oncologist. She has said dad’s throat cancer has spread to his lungs and liver. He is going to be having immunotherapy.
I cannot believe this is happening. Please can anyone give me a glimmer of hope. ️
Hi So sad to read this. We have a forum member who had lung mets, had two years treatment with Pembrolizumab and is cancer free three years later. Here is his Cancer Blog . Click on the link I made to read his story. I also have a forum friend who has been on Nivolumab for five years after being given a terminal prognosis. He is alive and well. So you see immunotherapy can have good results. It doesn't work for everybody but the fact that your Dad's team think it's worth a try is encouraging
There are a few threads HERE that might be useful. You could post in reply to others who have mentioned immunotherapy recently. They might be in a position to say how they are doing.
