Hello - has anyone had necrosis of the larynx from the results of radiotherapy? We’re still waiting on final diagnosis for my Dad but it’s either that or recurrence of the cancer in the hypopharanx.
Any advice? Thanks
Hi Queeny
I am so sorry to hear the news is bad. I hope you have lots of time to spend together, to be able to get out and about for a little while and to enjoy what you can. Have look if there is a Maggie's anywhere near you Maggie's Cancer Support
My advice would be to make sure you have as much as you can in place from your palliative care team, which will include your GP, District Nurse and Macmillan as well your hospital team, even though you and your dad might not yet need it.
There is a separate group here that might be off some use too it's group where carers can post to help each other out, CARERS' GROUP
I wish you the very best and please do pop on here if you feel you need to.
