Got my diagnosis T2N1M0
my first appointment is this week with my oncologist. The MDT meeting said I should just have radiotherapy now. Starting all the Maxillo-facial & nutritionist appointments too. Teeth removal & feeding tubes to look forward to.
I think I’m mentally prepared for this and even my Cancer nurse said she’s not met anyone this positive for a while.
ive read all the blogs & read all the feedback on posts etc and I know we are all different , but I wanted to thank everyone on this group for advice & clarity.
Let’s see what happens over the next couple of months
I’m sure I’ll be back on here asking advice once the radiotherapy kicks in x
Good luck Sam. Do let us know how you get on
best wishes
Dani

Good evening Samrobdog, well done in preparing yourself for what lies ahead it all sounds daunting to begin with but it all comes together under the guidance of your team. I remember my cancer nurse saying that she always looked forward to seeing me and was a model patient being her favourite, trying to flatter me . My consultant was very much the same saying if every patient was as good as you, it would make my job a lot easier. I did have my issues but they were always sorted, i remember crying along with my wife when he signed me off, he along with the nurse was also very emotional as i was under him for 8 years. It sounds as if you have a similar mindset with a lovely team behind you. You would be more than welcome to come back with updates, questions, problems or any worries you may have. Wishing you all the best for your cancer journey, take care, be good.

It was with me. Your imagination can do all sorts of stuff. You'll feel much better once your plan is in place and you have a start date.

After the biopsy I became much more aware of the tumour on my tongue. It was as if they'd unleashed the devil to my mind.
As Dani says, you'll feel so much less anxious once you have a plan in place and tratment starts.

Hi like others have said your mind plays tricks on you. Once you’ve got your treatment plan everything falls into place .
