Had a few biopsies yesterday so very sore still.
Update they can take cancer away from neck both sides and mouth, reconstruct neck,10 hour op,a week in ICU,London hospital as risk with my lung problem.feeding tubes then speech and physio,be in hospital a few weeks.if don't then cancer won't be gone and will spread.
Good evening Mummy, it sounds like a full neck dissection an is a very common operation and you will be in good hands, as you say it has to be done to stop anymore spreading of the cancer . If you have any concerns then please re-post and we will try and help you. All the best, take care.

It’s overwhelming I know. But there’s loads of support on here and many others who have had the surgery.
We will all support you.
Try not to worry although I realise that’s probably a daft thing to say.
Sending love Sharon
