It's over dad's biopsies came back as inactive he's had the op to get the rest of it out and it's all over, he's cured, it's a massive scar and the entire experience of going through this is something I don't think anyone can fully describe with words, I'm grateful that I'm one of the lucky ones that got to keep their loved one about, thankyou again for all the support shown in here I would recommend the online community to anyone going through anything cancer related, it's very helpful and useful to me, there's always hope and other options, never give up ! ️
Great news Acornette! Going to be a great scar but remember that scars are like tattoos but with better stories (even though I see dad has some "ink" as well).

Brilliant news Acornette and well done to your dad on going through it all, i remember these images when i had my neck dissection ,once the clips and stiches are removed it gradually blend in with the lines in his skin and within a year you will hardly notice it, its surprising how quick it all heals up, if i remember the flap on the forearm took longer to heal up for me ,weird . Im so pleased you found this forum of a great help to you as i remember your very first post , its pleasing that you have kept us up-to-date throughout so thanks for that. You deserve a big pat on your back for sticking by and persuading you dad along the way, bless you, I bet he is so proud of you, All it remains for me to say is all the very best for a full recovery please keep us posted on his journey. Take care, big hugs.
