This is a quick update bearing in mind the changes being made to the forum from Monday.
Hubby had his Neck Dissection Op yesterday. I will spare all the in-between periphery from admittance early doors in the morning to eventually arriving on the ward late evening (not helpful for an anxious wife).
He sent a photo to me at 11.30pm to show me his neck wound and to prove he was alive. The film frankenstein springs to mind.
He is still quite poorly from effects of the anesthesia, and the Op itself and isn't allowed anything to eat or drink until at least Monday so this morning a nasal feeding tube inserted.
At least he has cracked a joke at lunch time (cos he loves his food and cant have any) so I know he isnt in any pain.
I am not good particularly good with technology so will have to get to grips with the new forum set-up.
Stay safe out there everyone.

Hi Beesuit
No can't visit any adult ward. That is what makes it really hard especially when you cannot get through to the ward as phone constantly engaged or unanswered. Going to contact the Family Liaison Team today (26th) as he stopped texting me ystrdy late afternoon and hasnt answered my texts. He always texts me goodnight and didn't last night so I guess either something is wrong with his phone or he isnt physically able to text, which is a worry.
Take care and stay safe xxx

Perhaps he has run out of charge, i was always doing that and it gets a bit confusing or difficult after an operation plus sometimes all the plugs are in use.Im sure he is ok as the hospital would have let you know. Send him our best, take care, stay strong .
