Hi all
I have a small bump under my surgery scar, probably about size of a lentil but I can feel it wobbling about when I press my scar. I raised it with my consultant at last check up and he said it is likely scar tissue.
Has anyone else experienced similar?
I just get so nervous having any lumps and bumps nowadays.
Best wishes to everyone
Marie
Hi Sunshine
I’m almost 7 weeks post surgery for an open nephrectomy and I also have a small, lentil sized lump under my scar. It sort of clicks and wobbles under my finger, doesn’t hurt but it’s there and has been for about a week or so I think.
It doesn’t hurt, and doesn’t seem to be getting any bigger. I’m due to see my consultant tomorrow so I’ll get him to give it a once over and see what he says. I’m sure it’s as your consultant said, scar tissue, and as long as you’re not in pain and it’s not showing any signs of inflammation or discharge that’s always good.
Wishing you well xx
Hello Marie , most of us have become worried about any lumps or bumps that appear , I still have a couple . I would agree with your consultant that it is likely to be scar tissue as mine were/are . Did he say about scanning the area just to put your minds at ease .Best wishes and I hope you make a full recovery , take care .
