Hi KSM. Sorry you’re having discomfort from extraction sites. It can take a while for sockets to fully heal. It’s a bad idea to start chemo if extractions not fully healed - often your white blood cells drop with chemo, and this leaves you vulnerable to infection. It’s risky to have non-healed dental sockets when chemo starts so your team are being sensibly cautious. As soon as all looks good they will go ahead - hopefully they’ll be happy to proceed after tomorrow’s visit, but if not, frustrating as it is, its the safest thing for you. A few days won’t make any difference, but make the most of the time and do the things you enjoy and eat whatever you can. Fingers crossed for tomorrow
