Hi all. I was reading the older posts in this group and came across several referring to the mouth drying out overnight and recommending Xylomelts.
I ordered some and have used them for a couple of nights. What a difference ! I haven’t needed to take sips of water throughout the night nor woken up with that dreadful dry mouth.
I’d recommend them to anyone having this issue.
Good to hear that Gareth, for some reason I've never got around to trying them and still go with the sipping water option, I suppose it's just become routine; maybe I'll give them a go.
Drinking plenty of water over the day helps a bit for me but then then I'm up through the night for visits to the loo!
Metastatic SCC diagnosed 8th October 2013. Modified radical neck dissection November, thirty-five radiotherapy fractions with 2xCisplatin chemo Jan/Feb 2014. Recurrence on larynx diagnosed July 2020 so salvage laryngectomy in September 2020.
I also found these a great help, toward the end of radiotherapy I was using 4 in my mouth overnight but now I find I just need one on the roof of my mouth overnight... I don't know what I would have done without them but I, like you, found them recommended by others on here and gave them a go :-)
