Oesophagectomy tomorrow!

Just a brief update from my last post where unfortunately the endoscopic procedure to remove the cancer failed. I have now completed 4 pre-op rounds of FLOT and further CT scan, and am booked for the Ivor Lewis procedure tomorrow morning. So am going into hospital at 3pm today- bed is confirmed. Having a mixture of thoughts, mainly positive. Also eating things I like such as crusty bread and cheese, plan on having chilli for lunch.

Doing some last minute jobs such as cleaning out the hens and sowing seeds ready for the allotment next season! Weather forecast is snow, but we'll see what arrives, not that it will bother me much I won't be driving in it. I'm more worried about what my wife will throw out while I'm in theatre as she plans a "deep clean and throw out session!".

The journey to this point has been long and frustrating at times, mixed messages and long waits for procedures but hoping that I finally get sorted.
