Hi
Has anyone heard of this Harley Street Clinic that is trialling drug cocktails for cancer and especially GBM. I came across this clinic mentioned in a cricketers treatment.
I have seen good reviews but always sceptical.......?
My husband signed up to do this, and we found them completely genuine and very helpful. In the end he couldn't start the protocol because he was too unwell. The science behind it seems interesting and they do not seem to be out to make a huge profit. I would explore it again in similar circumstances.
My husband participated and we also found them helpful and responsive. There can’t be very much money in it for them - a 3 month supply of the meds cost around £80.
Has it helped? I don’t know, he is 16 months post diagnosis and although he did have RT and some chemo the tumour was nil methylation and therefore unlikely to respond well to chemo. He is now close to the end of his life, being cared for at home, whether the Care Oncology cocktail has prolonged his life we will never know.
Dear
forgive the intrusion but you may not have noticed that the post you were replying to was from May 2019 and I suspect things may have moved on a lot since then and you may not get a reply. You might want to join the supporting someone with incurable cancer forum and exposing your question to a wider audience. I am am sorry to read of your wife’s diagnosis and lack of treatment, I hope you have been put in touch with your local palliative care team for help and advice?
Thank you for replying. Yes I did notice. We are, at the moment, looking into the possibility of working with C.O.C. And I was attempting to search out information from potential users of the clinic. My wife is with palliative care. However, she is exploring alternative routes towards the healing process seeing that the conventional routes of chemo and radiotherapy have been ruled out. The other route is the Christie hospital. She has stage four bowel cancer( liver and lungs) and a history of mini strokes, one occurring after the second week of a chemo session. So we can understand why the oncologists are reluctant to continue. To risky the said. Hey ho lives a bum.
Dear
i wish you well with your research into supportive treatment and am glad to hear you have engaged with palliative services as they are a good source of support and resources.
Hi His lap
We looked into the COClinic but did not pursue.
We knew someone who was on their protocol.
He regarded the doctors there very highly and were quite expert in the field. It is well worth a visit to see what they can offer.
Regards
Maddy
