Yes 15 sessions and a boost (whatever that is) because my lateral margin wasn't totally clear following mastectomy. The hospital I will have to go to is an hour away so will be 2 hour round trip x
That is quite a distance every day . It’s almost the same for me for my chemo ,but at least it is only once a week . I have to arrange lifts etc though as not allowed to drive afterwards. I have no idea what a boost is either . Will you have any long term meds that you will need to take after the radiotherapy xxx
Hi everyone, just want to say thank you for all your kind words. Me and my family are just taking one day at a time. We are all still numb and in shock. Absolutely heartbroken we are. As regards to my treatment, I can continue my herceptin and have my 4th 2moro. I have a surgery date of 20th April for masectomy and a tissue expander. I will have radiotherapy when healed, because area of dcis is large although histology from surgery showed it to be moderate grade not high grade. I have then decided to go on waiting list for a diep reconstruction. That may take a year or two. I hopefully should be finished my treatment by June.
