Hello

I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?

  • Hi Doria,

Thanks so much for you message, means a lot......my arm is improving being able to cut down on the painkillers.....I have had a lot of aches and pains, which i put down to the Letrozole, been on it for 2 yrs now....but I did ask my oncologist for a scan as the fear is always there of recurrence,, fortunately my CT scan came back clear thank god.....I follow everyone on here, understanding what they are going through and i send love and hugs to all

    Morning Harleybear

It's doable but I couldn't physically go to work everyday working from home maybe, don't put too much pressure on yourself. I can't work from home so am off sick, but it's draining at times aching and tired is main symptoms really. Glad your feeling postive after your appointment xx

  • Hi Shaz. Glad you found pacetaxol better hope I do too.  Mastectomy was tough , but at least you are getting reconstruction afterwards which Should help a bit .  I still can’t look at my scar after weeks .   Make sure you get well hydrated when you come round and are able to drink again.  I don’t think they will remove more lymph nodes .  Hope you get a date soon , nearly at the end now you have done amazingly .  I would be close to finish if not for the the pancreatitis and gallbladder fiasco.  Xxx

  • Thanks Key , I thought that might be the case to be honest .  I need to be well in order to get  through all the chemo . Are you having your chemo ratios week ? Xxx

  • Thanks Daisy . I guess with radiotherapy I am just worrying about long term tiredness as I have read that this can be a side effect .   I will think about it a bit more as have time to decide .   It is a very odd feeling being pleased about starting chemo again soon . I recall the horror I felt when first mentioned I needed chemo and the word cancer . Now it all just seems normal xxx

Yes I have it weekly, seems better on just the week where you have 1 dose. But I've only had 1 as missed a couple. This week where I've had both feel a bit wiped out, but that's nothing compared to EC. I've been able to do more but listen to your body as we over do it when feeling ok. xx

  • I am the worlds worst patient when I’m not right and the minute I feel slightly better I overdo it .   I need to be able to have all this chemo as want the best chance of it not returning .    The oncologist told me that if I have to miss any they don’t add them on the end I will still finish in 12 weeks .  Xxx

  • This is me also, yesterday at the peak of shitness from docetaxel I couldn't move and said I wasn't going to do my last chemo, today I felt better so have painted the bathroom.  My hubby was livid and told me I need to rest.  I never learn!

    Hello all,

Sorry for not catching up earlier. I've been reading posts. It was half term last week so quickly swapped the kids rooms round whilst they were at grandparents and painted before I started chemo on Friday. Just starting to get a few side effects. Fuzzy head being the worse... It's taking some concentration to do school runs!

  • it’s so hard though isn’t it . They don’t get it do they . It’s especially hard when my other half tries to help out and clean and then I need to go do it again when he’s out .   JoyRoflxx
