Hey Mel/Key. Today is Day4. I feel a bit hot prob from menses returning, but flanneling now. Sigh. My temp seems OK. I feel hungry all the time and so snack on fruits. Following strictly on meds. May take some paracetamol before bed perhaps.
Mel- When do you start Doce? I should think it will be better tolerated than EC, one can hope!! But days 1 to 3 was OK for me.
Key- did your onco team ask to go in a&e? Am two minds about ringing them.
Yes I called my chemo nurses and spoke to them, and the doctor advised a and e. I was dreading going but they treated me so well put me in a private room away from others. Hope your ok claud I get hot sweats after chemo usually but temp has never gone up my is usually 36.3 today it was 37.7 only slightly above normal. xx
Hey Claud , glad to hear you seem to be doing ok . The hunger could be the steroids which will stop soon I expect . Don’t be afraid to ring them if you are at all worried xxx
Key when u get home, try honey. I had the bad cough before my mastectomy and I had lots of Manuka honey which help get rid of. Just an idea. Drove me nuts too and fisherman's friend lozenges helped too.
I am home Claud but no such thing as resting with my bloody family . They only ever think of themselves . I am tired now and ready to give up , not wanting to continue treatment right now . Have MRI results on Thursday but I can already feel changes so not expecting good news . I just want to sleep . You are all so brave and I hope you continue to get well slowly but surely week by week ticking off the treatments. Key is your infection under control now that’s an awful thing to have happened xx
I hope so feel very paranoid and anxious, may see if doctor can check me over again on Monday. I'm in bed resting 2 lots of antibiotics but feeling ok.
Harleybear I know it's hard but you need to look after yourself right now, you can do this. After each treatment I think I can't do that again, but look at my family and know I need to do this for them.
