I had been told my meeting for the results of my surgery would be today but then it changed - possibly I was told this when still high on fentanyl from the op, but I don’t remember and I never received the letter. So I turned up today to be told it was Wednesday. It’s silly but felt like the end of the world at the time. The nurse sorted out my dressing though, so that’s good, and explained my nipple was bleeding because blood was moving up the ducts from the lumpectomy site. So that was good to know it wasn’t weird nipple disease. The other breast has a bit of seroma so she drained it and redressed it.
so Wednesday I find out if the surgery worked, if there is cancer in the lymph nodes and if I need a mastectomy after all, as my surgeon has suggested I might.
Thinking of you Ana
The waiting is the worst bit for all of us. Good that you went a couple of days early, as the nurse ministered to your wounds. I hope all goes well tomorrow and you get good news.
Let us know how things go.
All the best and some extra hugs for you today
