Hi all, met with my consultant today, have Stage 2 invasive ductal and told that best option is either lumpectomy with fat from my back used to reconstruct, or reconfigure breast, albeit smaller and then further surgery at later date to reduce other side to match.
I’ve honestly no idea what would be best, the back fat op is worrying me as I would hate to have limited strength/movement of my back if that might be the case post op, that said, is it the best option to limit surgeries and remain as close to breast I have now?
Has anybody faced similar options or had the back flap option?
would be so grateful to hear of similar experiences.
Thank you all in advance.
xx
Yes I've had licap a month ago and my recovery is fine, I never got a drain or much swelling, it feels tight around my scar but you have exercises to do and that helps.. I recommend it but I guess each person is different.. My breast looks the same as it was before surgery as I had the partial reconstruction so it worked for me.
