If the cancer has been fully removed and there is a clear margin, however the lymph nodes are positive for cancer, how fast does the cancer travel to the rest of the body?
Having lymph node involvement doesn’t always mean that the cancer has spread to the body ?
Yes, I had one recently due to feeling lumps in other breast but it was only fatty tissue! More luck!
I have lympoedema but it is a lot better than at the outset, when I could barely move my arm. Now have compression sleeve and doing daily drainage exercises.
Good luck xx
How frustrating for you Daizy03. Were you able to ask them to contact you the moment an appointment comes through? I had to have a second op to clear some stray cells at the margin, so I waited five weeks for the second operation. This gives me an idea of how you are feeling. I actually had the CT scan before the operation which I think is unusual. A private CT scan is very expensive. Also some doctors are not happy about mixing private and NHS care. Maybe you could phone again this afternoon? Once I saw the oncologist things really moved almost too quickly. Hope you can find some peace today. All the best and as you know stay positive even if it is hard.
Thank you thirds. Just feeling so overwhelmed and struggling not to cry my eyes out! she did say she will give me a call but I think I will call and see if I don’t receive a call before 3. I don’t know what I will say if she says she couldn’t book it though. It just seems so slow paced
I have started a different brand hormone tablet and getting more aches and pains with this brand than other brand. What medication are you on xx
For the last year I have been on Accord and the side effects gradually lessened. Pharmacy couldn't get Accord so now on Crescent and side effects creeping up again. Maybe you just get used to a brand. I will ask pharmacy to try and source Accord again but it's a bit pot-luck I guess.
Hope your side effects improve - not much fun this game is it? xx
Hi was your 2 lumps close together. Going to speak with my local pharmacist and see if he can keep me on same brands as before xxx
