I am 62 tears old.
After having been diagnosed with grade 1 breast cancer, I then got the sentinel nodes result showing cancer in the lymph nodes. This seemingly is very unusual.
The decision to be made was all armpit nodes removed plus radiotherapy, or just radiotherapy. The risk of lymphoedema terrifies me.
Now my tumour has been sent for Oncotype testing. The result determines whether I will ALSO be offered chemo.
It's an emotional roller coaster which has taken over my mind.
My mortality is forever in my thoughts too!
HELP!
Hi JanetW, sorry to hear you have BC but you are in the right place, all of us have been are are where you are now and can remember how it feels so you are not alone, hopefully you will not have to wait too long for results and you can then concentrate on your treatment plan. One day at a time, love Ann
