So after having a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed, I'm having an oncologist meeting me on the 31st to discuss chemo options, any tips because I'm shitting myself
Hi
Well, not tips exactly, but some reassurance. Chemo is very do-able. Your team will want you to be keeping well and able to live life normally and there are lots of drugs to help with the side effects. Some people carry on working, get on with daily life, even keep exercising.
Honestly, it's not something you'd ever choose if you didn't have to, but the image we all have of sick listless people is not most people's reality.
We have a chemo thread that you can take a look at for reassurance
You might get some ideas there on good questions to ask
Hope your meeting on the 31st goes well - let us know how you get on
