Hi everyone, I am new to the group and feeling nervous as start Chemotherapy this Friday. Diagnosed early Jan with Ductal BC, triple negative. Lumpectomy and sentinel nodes was end of Jan, clear margins and had not spread to nodes. How did you find your first treatment and how quickly do the side effects start. Tried to be prepared and probably overthinking the side effects. Yesterday I was upset and scared but today have been a lot calmer for some reason, hope this feeling stays.
Hi Panagia,
I have been diagnosed with triple negative as well but I am doing chemo first. I will be doing my second chemo, EC, this Friday. First one wasn't as bad as I thought. For me side effects started a few hours after treatment but after a couple of days, I felt better. I only lost apetite and had tirednesd plus a bit of sickness mainly on first day. Hopefully, you won't get many side effects, too. I have been doing normal after the first few days. I hope this helps. Xx
Thank you Raf44 for replying and this does help. I know everyone is different and we all have worries about the different side effects. For me it is being sick and have struggled with this since a child. It sounds silly when you type it considering everything else we all have to go through. Hope your second treatment goes well too and thank you again.
