Hi all - just joining this group. Diagnosed last week and had 1st chemo session yesterday. I am HER2+ so having herceptin, docetaxel, trastuzumab & pertuzumab for 4 sessions at 3 week intervals. Then operation and radiotherapy .
Still reeling from the diagnosis and treatment etc. Thankful last it has started quickly.

just waiting for the side effects to ‘kick in’

wishing everyone well

That is just the best timing isn't it. You're inspirational and hope you sail through your last bout. Can you imagine after tomorrow ...no more treatment..how good is that? Just the best feeling  so happy for you.

    Best of luck tomorrow!

    C x

  • Im due my first today, but yesterday I woke up with a bit of a cough and then runny nose last night. I don't know if its the flowers in the house or a head cold. Trying to get through to the emergency team bit no answer for some advice. No doubt it will be cancelled today..xx

  • Best of luck Cosmossy and have a Happy Christmas

  • Hi Deb3112 - yes loved the gift box etc from Little Lifts such a good idea - very thoughtful - good little charity.  Rang The Big C yesterday and had a chat they are very helpful too.  Good to hear you have been walking a little - me too yesterday down by the River.  Dreadful thrush issue which hopefully now being sorted by Nystatin drops and Fluconazole - fingers crossed as was starting to worry about eating etc. Christmas decorations going up this weekend - keep going x

Oh dear Deeds, it's so hard when u are all geared up in your head to plough thru and now 5his setback. I would take a LFT firstly. Just to rule it out. From my past experience before my op, I also had such terrible cough in run up to surgery and I took a 20quid Manuka honey round the clock, finished it in 3 days and had g8 results to reduce the cough by a lot!

I do hope you can get thru the helpline! Big hugs to u, hold on to positive thoughts luvy
