Will the soreness go after applying the dressing for 14 days if it doesn't clear what do I do any help appreciated
Hi, I found using moisturizer cream really helped me, but I'd say if it goes on for more than a couple of weeks to give your BCN a call and have a chat just to check out that it's nothing to worry about. Take care that it's not an infection, so if it gets red and warm you might want to talk to your GP or medical team. Best wishes
I was red and very warm after 19 sessions of radiotherapy, burning particularly on my collarbone where lymph nodes in that area had been targeted. It didn’t break up, blister or weep though and I used lots of oat moisturiser and zerobase cream which I had been given. They did have gel and other ointments to offer but I didn’t get to needing them.
The burn on my collarbone was very red, then very dark brown but calmed down steadily and didn’t even look tanned after a few months.
The last 2 summers I’ve always sprayed factor 50 round my neck and sought out high necked sleeveless t-shirts and tops for hot weather.
xx
