Hi all I’m so scared of having a picc line and starting chemotherapy next week, 8 cycles. Once every 3 weeks. Any advice is most welcome. My babies are keeping me going sorry for sounding so silly….
Hi Storm rain
How did you get on this morning? Hope your arm isn’t too sore and that you are managing to hold the baby with your PICC line.
I’ve been thinking of you x
Hi kaza1, how are you? Iv just sat down. Iv had such a busy day. Last min trip to the gp/Tesco/ school pick up/ after school club/ in-laws. Iv been meaning to msg u as soon as I had it done. Pre asssment went well, felt very real
picc line was done. Didn’t feel a thing. Went so well, she gave me 2 lovely pic line covers. A prescription for picc line covers for the shower. Iv been so busy I haven’t even had a chance to notice any pain or discomfort.
how did you get on with the wig? Xx how was your day?
I’m so pleased everything went so well and very good news that you didn’t feel the PICC line being fitted.
I’ve got the LimbO waterproof cover too - I picked it up from the pharmacy today.
You sound like you’ve had a very busy day. I’ve been doing more cooking for the freezer and making soup. I hope I feel like eating some of it or my husband will have some large meals.
I had to postpone my wig fitting till after my first chemo but the online workshop was really helpful.
Good luck for tomorrow- wishing you lots of luck xx
All the best for tomorrow, hopefully we get a good night sleep. That’s a really good idea about freezing meals,
Lots of ️positivity and hugs for tomorrow. Picc line was great, she took bloods from it. I’m sure the wig will look lovely on you, for now my pink Wolly hat is become my breast friend.
My breast care nurse did a referral to complementary therapies. Aromatherapy massage booked in at my local hospital, in a few weeks, definitely ask your bc nurse to do the same.
night night, sweet dreams. Xx
Excuse the typo I’m half asleep. Night night all xx
So pleased for you. Now the picc line is in your chemo will be easy.
xx
Iv got conditioner in my hair from cold cap, scarf and a wolly hat, I’m going to get some sleep we have had a busy day. We have had our first chemo, I pray the side effects is easy on us and everyon else
️Hope you have a restful evening and a good night sleep. Sending lots of hugs xxx
