Good luck Jebe! Almost over now :) it’s a good feeling when you walk out!
Sorry been quiet this week, the mouth thing really got me down and I felt like I’d had a massive final kicking! But I’m on the other side now, feeling much better and now just have the fun of waiting for things to return to normal and to see when hair starts to reappear etc! It has been hideous but I’m glad this part is over.
Looking ahead to my op now, it’s 6 weeks today so hopefully lots of time to try and relax a bit and do some normal stuff…
For anyone having a mastectomy I discovered this company last night online and bought myself a little drain bag - oh the joys!!!!!!

I also discovered a lady on Instagram called ”one tit wonder” who seems like a good positive lady to follow…
The sun is out today here, I hope everyone also has lovely weather and a brilliant weekend xx
Morning Tam
Glad you are better now and can look forward to a few good weeks before your surgery.
Just thinking from when we all started chatting here there are more and more of us finally getting through the chemo and it won't be long till we are all finished that part of our treatment.
Hope you have a good day, I am going to attempt a walk and get my stamina built up as still not there yet.
Sending love and hugs xxx
Morning Tam
Sorry you've had a tough time but it's over with.. Each day will now be an improvement..
Thanks for the info I shall have la read later. Sounds so exciting a drain bag Also my friend told me you can get
pillows to put between you're arm & breast. She says makes it more comfortable. So I'll be looking at those too.
As for hair, I've got stubble and white fluff all over. I assumed I'd go completely bald but that never seem to happen.. So like you intrigued to see how long it will take to come back. My hairdresser said when there's enough hair to shave the hair off to make it stronger when it grows back.. So one more shave to look forward to
Yes sun's out here too. Have a good day everyone.
Lots of love Julie
Good luck Julie.
Hope all goes well. Not long now till you can out all these side effects behind you and you can look forward to a lot more good days and hair! ,
Tam, it's good to hear that you're finally getting to start to feel better. I hope you will start to enjoy the good days. It must feel good that you don't have to suffer those side effects any more.
Christina, I hope you enjoy your walk and start to feel better. A walk is always good.
I'm currently waiting to see my oncologist to discuss how I've been and next week's treatment. Then I'm off to visit my Mother.
Hope everyone has a good day , ️

Dee X
Hi Dee, I'm ok, just getting tired really easy, walked to school and back (10 mins each way) came home had to sleep which isn't usually like me. My littlest lady seems a bit under the weather today, high temp just been laid on the sofa all day, drinking little here and there, says her mouth hurts but i can see anything. Having a late tea today too, toad in the hole. My taste is still funny, I'm hoping once I have finished chemo that it returns to normal, bought myself a blender yesterday so I can make some thick shakes like I use to at work (just 2 scoops of icecream of choice and 200ml of full fat milk, and plus if you fancy any chocolate bar of choice too) so nice when I don't feel like eating anything. Finished my injections today so hopefully over the next couple of days I'll start picking up again.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Sending you all love and hugs xx
Evening ladies
Not long back from my Mother's! Such a long day. Meeting with oncologist was in fact with the registrar! He thought it was a telephone appointment ..but definitely fit a letter saying it was a face to face
. Also he had no idea about the weekly chemo, so it looks as though I'm down for Docetexal
..and apparently it's for 4 cycles , not 3 !
That takes me till about mid August! I'm so dreading this.
However it was lovely seeing my Mother and hubby and I took her out for lunch, which was a lovely distraction.
Christina. How are things with you? Sis you manage to get a walk?
Julie, how did your last session go?
Dee, glad to hear that you're started to feel a bit better. Hopefully you'll be able to run tomorrow. If not, try a quick walk? I hope that food will start to taste a bit better soon.
Tizzy, I hope your taste buds improve soon too. I think that I've got this to come. So not looking forward to it. Milk shakes sounds like a good idea though. I'll keep that in mind.
I hope everyone has a good evening.
Love and hugs xx
