  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x

  • Hi girls. Getting home this afternoon. Woo hoo.

My bloods are better and if I feel I can control the diarrhoea at home then I can get home. I would rather be comfy in my own bed and toilet and do feel so much better than I did so happy to go home.

Just waiting on the take home meds.

Hope you all enjoy your day, walks, cakes and time with friends. Just what we need.

    Sending love and hugs xxxHeartHeart

Excellent news . Enjoy your time at home, and I hope it’s all cleared up now.

My mouth is just worse this afternoon, I know it’s always like this but it doesn’t make it any easier does it! Been eating salt and vinegar crisps most of the day (the cake didn’t really do anything) and alternating salt water and mouthwash but it gives me a bit of a poorly tummy! Ahh well.

    better days are coming xx

  • Thanks Dee. Just good to be sitting here looking into my lovely garden and not a brick wall. Was apprehensive about leaving the safety of the hospital but thankfully feeling okay and was given lots of meds to keep it at bay.

My diarrhoea started last Saturday and to be honest I knew by the Sunday night I was too unwell to stay at home. I did phone them on Sunday night and was told to monitor it overnight. I was worse by the morning so told to come straight in.  I had to be put in a wheelchair when I got there as was very weak and ill. I just slept and went to the toilet constantly for the 1st 3 days and hardly ate anything. I then started to eat a bit more and things eased at the toilet but it's only yesterday that I could say I felt better and looking back I realise just how ill I was.

I think you will know yourself just how ill you are but no harm to phone your cancer line and take their advice.

I really hope that things settle for you soon.

Sending love and hugs. Christina  xxxHeartHeart

  • Oh that's such a shame about your mouth. It's such a terrible side effect. Hoping it eases a bit soon.

I am feeling a lot better but still taking meds till it goes away completely.

Just glad to be home thanks.
