  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x
  • Thanks Julie

It's good to be home and back in my own bed.

Poor hubby has been exhausted coming back and forward to the hospital and getting me everything I need so he will enjoy the break and having me here with him.

The taste thing is certainly one of the worst. My mouth is still very dry and I have cold sores at the side.

Hoping you have a better day tomorrow.

    Sending love and hugs xxxHeartHeart

  • Thanks Katharine. Just glad to be home after 8 days in that one room.

    Things can only get better.

Hope you are feeling okay today.

  • Morning girls

    How's everyone today?

Dee has your diarrhoea settled yet?

Was thinking about stuff I was given for my mouth Gelclair it's an Oral Rinse Gel for pain etc .

I also get a very dry mouth so in the hospital they gave me Biotene  a moisturising gel for dry mouths.

You may already have these things but anything to help.

I took a sleeping tablet and slept 9 hours without moving and never done that in my life

Thankfully everything has settled now and able to eat more but still taking the meds they gave me for now.

Did have a wee hours snooze in my chair there listening to the birds chirping away in the garden and the rain pattering against the windows. Just good to be home.

Really hoping that you all have a better day.

Sending love and hugs. Christina  xxxHeartHeart

Still not 100% and still not eating much although more than before. No diarrhoea or sickness but looks like bowels will go the other way as starting to feel bunged up.Rolling eyes

Sorry to hear about your cramps but glad you took something to help. Hopefully  it calms right down and you get a good few days.

  • Evening Christina & girls.

What a relief you're home. I bet it was bliss being in your own bed. Probably helped you to sleep well..

I'm the same as everyone, still not eating much due to taste & texture. Went out for cake today. Had homemade Bakewell slice, no idea what flavour the jam was. Only managed 1/2. Obviously Hubby was pleased with his doggy bag.

Just done our online shop, ready for next week. Soup, bread to soak in the soup, tinned spaghetti, chicken thighs, froz veg, cocoa pops, eggs to scramble, bananas & oat milk. Not bad for a week.. But pretty boring eh ?

Dee hope you start to pick up soon .

Lots of love Two heartsTwo hearts

  • Hi Julie

Glad you got out for some cake and shopping all ready.

I was just saying to hubby it's hard to imagine eating normal ever again but I know it will come just need to visualise it.

Hope you all sleep well. I am in bed already just reading and hoping to get out a walk tomorrow and to have more energy.

    Hugs and love xxxHeartHeart

  • Evening Seaside

So glad that you're home and things are beginning to improve. Listening to the birds can be a great mood lifter too. Hopefully you'll manage that walk tomorrow and start to feel more energy.

I've been making the most if my good days...been very busy in the garden catching up on it...it's been very neglected over the past few weeks. I think I over did it though. Fell asleep on the sofa fSleeping nearly two hours Sleeping

Julie, I like your style! Cake can't be bad.

DeeDee, so sorry to hear that you're still suffering from diarohea. I hope .you'll get relief soon.

I hope everyone gets to feel better soon.

Love and hugs to you all Huggingxx

  • Morning Katharine

Glad you are enjoying the garden it's something I love and can potter out there for hours.

If your body tells you to rest its always best to and recharge your batteries

Hubby cut the grass but didn't weed so I was desperate to get out there yesterday and do a wee bit but had no energy.

Going to stop the cocodemal they gave me as its been 48 hours since I last had diarrhoea and they just make me tired and bunged up. Want to feel a bit more like myself today. Can always take them again if need be.

Really do hope everyone else has been feeling okay.

Sending love and hugs xxxHeartHeartChristins xxx

  • Morning Christina

My hubby dies the grass but not weeding too. Hence I'm left with loads of weeding.

Cocodamol does knock you out...I'm like a zombie on them. I hope you're feeling a little brighter and able to do a little bit in the garden. Although it's not too warm here and looks like it will rain soon.

I'm about to go off to meet my sister this morning. It'll be the first time ever that I've driven myself anywhere since I've started chemo! Really looking forward to seeing her.  We're meeting at a marina and hope to grab something to eat.

Hope you have a good day.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

    Love and hugs Huggingxx
