  1. Quick back story, Was diagnosed in sept 21  (after being misdiagnosed since April 21) mastectomy and SNB (1/3 positive) Nov 21 26mm invasive with a total of 92mm (non ivasive and invasive) was due to start chemo in the Jan 22 but my youngest DD got covid and then so did I, so chemo was deferred until Feb 22. Started chemotherapy last week, having 5FEC-T and then on the 4th cycle I will start Herceptin.
  2. Just really wanted some positive vibes tbh as although yes I know my cancer has a positive outcome at the end of all the treatments (consultant said 98% survival rate for the next 10 years), it is a very scary place to be especially when I have children at home and my partner lives elsewhere, it's harder that I am not allowed to bring anybody with me while I have the chemotherapy due to covid restrictions etc. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. Thank you for reading x
  • I too have a drip first with steroids & antisickness.. Don't feel cheated Txl47 I only have antisickness pills for 3 days too Relaxed️ But they seem to work so far..

  • I've got my fingers crossed you don't get any more side effects.

My husband says we are awesome people

  • Only 2 more to go. That's great.. My boob has just about gone back to normal now. It's been swollen for weeks after all the biopsies and markers.. It still makes me shudder when I think about them..

And I'm like you, I only want to know what's relevant to me. So I don't Google anything, too many horror stories !

Yep I have a heart scan coming up, My consultant said it's a precaution..

    Best wishes

  • Hiya, I hope everybody is doing well. I'm feeling physically back to normal now, suppose to have my echocardiogram before my next lot of chemo (21st April) I'm still waiting for the hospital to send an appointment out but with it being bank holiday I'm not hopeful I will get one in time. Due a pcr on Monday then I have to isolate for 3 days, so looks like no echo for me till after I start the chemo. (Fed up of all this covid stuff now). Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic day, sun is shinning yay. xx

  • Morning Tizzy. Glad you are feeling well. I am doing good too just ready for 3rd Chemo on Tuesday. My girls are coming up today for a walk as its a nice day although no sun up here yet.

You are right about Covid but still warm of catching it so I ask everyone who comes here to do a LFT  just to be on the safe side.

Enjoy your Easter weekend and good luck for 21st. Is that your 5th then.

    Sending positive thoughts xxxRainbowHeart

  • Hi @Seaside, no it will be my 4th cycle, starting the next lot of chemo with herceptin so oncologist wanted a new baseline reading of my heart beforehand. xx
