Seriously?
So many members still having issues, and now the conversation is forced to a close without any real solutions.
I appreciate that similar issues generate similar comments, but there clearly is a need to continue this discussion across the community. I've logged in only a couple of times over the past few weeks, largely due to having to re-register, struggling to find the threads I wish to read, and the general tone of a great deal of posts. When so many members are feeling overwhelmingly negative about the changes, is this really the way forward??
Sending love and light to all x
I'm glad its not just me having to keep registering/logging on. I've tried telly STeph this but every time I do, she goes quiet on me. She says there is no tech reason why it should happen and offers to help get round it and when I said yes please she went silent. Macmillan claim to be listening to us, but clearly they are only hearing what they want to hear
Hi ,
I’m sorry to read you’re feeling negative about the changes on the site. We locked the ‘Feedback on the new layout’ thread as the conversation had moved away from the original topic about the group layout.
As a team, we receive many enquiries on a daily basis and we work really hard to ensure we respond to each and every email we receive. Myself and the team will always do our best to help resolve any technical issues, and we appreciate these can feel frustrating especially when reaching out for some support.
We have commented a few times now, that we kindly ask that if anyone is having any technical difficulties, that they email us directly on community@macmillan.org.uk, send a private message to our Moderator - Macmillan Community account, or post in our Help group. This is to ensure that we see each message and we are able to respond to every enquiry. This also enables us to track any themes or common issues across the site.
We are not able to read through all threads here on a daily basis, and so we encourage anyone with any issues to reach us through the means mentioned above. Otherwise, we may miss posts and members won’t get the support they’re looking for.
We do listen to feedback we receive and we understand that there are some aspects of the site that members would like to work differently. I can assure you that we are still working to get things right, and we take many things into consideration when making decisions.
You’ve mentioned having trouble finding threads you wish to read and having to re-register for the site. I wonder if you’d be able to send us an email with some further information about these issues? We’d really like to be able to help, and having this information will help us investigate what may be happening for you and how we might be able to resolve this.
Best wishes,
Ellen

Hi ,
Please be assured that nobody is ignoring you. The team will always do their best to respond to all emails as soon as we can.
Unfortunately, I can see your email came through to us at 5.25pm last night and Steph’s shift finished at 5pm yesterday. As you had been speaking with Steph about the issue you’re experiencing, it is in her work queue to pick up today with you. She will be in touch with information and support today. Please note that we do have a response time of up to 48 hours, although we endeavour to respond as soon as possible.
Best wishes,
Ellen

Well I'm glad the number of views serves a purpose for you. However I remain concerned at the impact on members who this site is supposed to be supporting. The site is funded to support members and that should be the priority of Macmillan! Statistics though ! I've completed enough in my time to know they serve a purpose that doesn't always benefit those accessing services !Not your fault Ellen as I'm sure you just a cog in the system ! I'm ex public sector and know you are just delivering what higher ups want !
Im out with feedback, I will comment no more. I withdrew from the constant emailing and screen shots of issues! Still remain months later.
Good luck to new members & supporting them . I'm withdrawing my financial backing his monthly lottery & raffia tickets as I'm not happy how my money has been spent in this 'upgrade'
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
