Hi

(For new readers who may be interested have a look at my profile)

Had an appointment today for follow up after radiotherapy.  The gorgeous consultant (and ladies he is a really handsome man) was very happy with how radiotherapy has gone.  But very concerned about how my mobility is deteriorating and how quickly.  He asked what tests I'd had done and looked at results.   Said I needed an MRI on my back to see what the nerves are doing.   Tried to organise one today but no slots.   Do has decided to admit me.  Home at moment waiting for a call that a bed is free.  Likely to be tonight or tomorrow morning.  In the meantime he is stuffing me with steroids (bye bye sleep).

I am quite happy to go in.  Will hopefully get a whole raft of tests and see a neurologist while I'm there.   Okly downside is it is not my local hospital but where I had op and radiotherapy.   75 mile round trip.  But I can live with that if they can get to bottom of issues and help improve my current situation.

So sending hubby to pack bag soon on readiness.  Better write everything down.....

  • Dearest ,

First of all, Wishing You and Hubby a Merry Christmas.

I was surprised to read you already had '3' plasma exchanges, this all sounds very interesting, like you say it is early days and maybe in a way don't expect to much and then anything is a bonus.  Keep on at them to be looking into all kinds of treatment.  It is crazy how treatment can vary from here to Euro and from here to USA - my cousins son, has some kind of rare illness that only showed up when he was around 6/7 months - they offered no treatment here.... at first, then started with various things - they have now done fund raising and have taken their son to the USA and he is resonding very well to treatment, (I don't think he will every be fully recovered, but the amount so far is such a bonus).

So my moral there is.... never give up, there is always something new coming along.

I can't believe it about the bungalow, of all the flipping properties and you get the only one with problems with the levels.... to the people that 'don't want levels' arrrghh.  Well done on not completing, it could easily turn into a situation that they keep you waiting and waiting.  They now have the incensed to get it sorted as soon as possible - especial with the year ending coming.

I can imagine Hubby is struggling, they don't realise what us women do - and normally take it in our stride, far easier said than done... my mind as gone so bad with letrozole (I hope it that arrrgh).

I will go now, I need so sleep.

I hope you are able to get home for a few hours today, if you do, don't get over doing it, even going home is going to tire you out and the fresh air, if all else fails - get hubby to get the family to come into hospital with you - after all it is very cold outside now and we don't want you picking up any chills - so again, if you do go out or home wrap up warm, hat, scarves and gloves are the order of the day....

hmmm they sound like great Christmas present gifts hahahaha

Right, I'm off to bed 'Nighty Night' ~ Sending you get big hugs, Merry Christmas AnnJac and Hubby xxxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
