But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I've been reading all your posts and I can relate to what you said about net curtains - I had a similar experience in our previous house. When we moved to this house last summer instead of net curtains I have blinds at all the windows except the spare room where the curtain does the job and the French windows.
I'm sorry, I've not popped in much this week. As hubby has broken his collarbone, I've been doing a lot more - helping him to get dressed and undressed as well as all the cooking and shopping. On a positive note, I called into our local MacMillan centre on Tuesday. Diana was so helpful and she's booked me onto a six week course called HOPE help to overcome problems effectively which starts next Wednesday. She said she would refer me to the Butterwick Hospice for more aromatherapy and they rang me yesterday and my first session is next Thursday.
Onward and upward!
Sounds as if you’re getting help, which is great, I’m so pleased for you both. All I had was ‘Look good feel better’ which was so good.
Today I’ve been to choir and we did a good but quite tricky bit of the Hummel Mass. plus some tricky part of the Beethoven. Phew, I don’t feel left behind now!
then onto the Lymphoma support group. Then I had an email saying the Dunelm poles are on the way with DHL and should arrive tomorrow, yay!

Yet again my ‘green’ bin of waste food and garden waste has not been collected; this is a regular occurrence, I went to check again this morning (as it’s been reported to the council who should notify the company concerned) and some ‘kind’ soul has deposited their doggy waste bag in it!!!! This is about 200 yards to a specific bin for such waste. HOW LAZY AND CRASS!!!
An annoyed…..
