It seems I'm a patient now!

But not a very patient one!

I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?

Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that,  plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.

By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.

But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

  • An early 6am waking but I told him it was too early and bless him, Henry and I both had some more sleep.

Walk this morning still heard some crow scarers but after he’d done all needed he was fine.

Will see how things go later on…..

  • I'm still waking up quite early myself but it's a week since I stopped the Letrozole and the hot flushes and night sweats have stopped. So, I think the insomnia might need a few more days to stop.

  • Hi  I can’t scroll back so don’t know what’s been happening but see you have Henry with you. Hope you’re doing ok.

  • Awww, bless you, he’s been a bit ‘off’ , nothing too worrying but not quite himself (probably missing them) but today is much more settled. Just back from afternoon walk (it’s chilly so he’s been wearing his coat which he hates having put on but is fine once it’s there! I’ve got him for almost 2 weeks.

Hope you’re doing ok,  ? Eyes ok?

  • He  looks cute in his coat. When our little dog had her coat on, she would do anything to try and lose it so we only had her hair cut once a year!

  • Awww, , sweet! Schnauzers have only a thin one layer coat, so he gets cold easily.

Had a big sort out of cans and sauces and stuff, 2 rubbish bags full, mostly of stuff hubs liked to have/heat up himself.

  • He’ll be good company and keep you on the go   Doing ok. Hubby away. New guttering/fascias/soffits done last week and I’m so happy no leaking guttering when it rains. If only the roof looked good... needs cleaning as lots of moss. Eye treatment continues as expected. How’s your back? Xx

  • My back is definitely helped by CBD oil, thanks  , thanks for asking. Glad your eyes are continuing with treatment, do they say it’s a success?

Yes, my foods has lots of miss humps too, I guess it’s fairly standard? But glad yours doesn’t leak any more. My small leak seems to have been sorted too, it was a cracked tile on the extension roof. Was there when hubs was around too, he didn’t seem very bothered, said it might be the cement seal under the tiles but it wasn’t.

  • Pleased cod oil continues to help   Fluid in eye was less at my last review and I have my next review on Monday so fingers crossed. This is lifelong moomy. My vision is different in that eye. I think wearing varifocals gives me more eye strain  but I’m going to try a single vision lens in sunglasses just to see how it is.

Good your roof leak is sorted. Our roof is old so nearing the time when it will need renewing. Still lots of other jobs to do.

    Have a good night
