But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Today has felt very busy! Some work done on the Bombe which had managed to get an extra stop, it was investigated fully and I got involved in cleaning drums in case there was some fluff. In the end, swapping drums around cured it.
i then came home to do some admin work; cash cow phoned me while I was driving and so I phoned back, I’ve got some funds coming! Then the council to make them aware that even though I’m listed as having ‘assisted collection’ I had to go and find my bin several doors away. Then another email to my MP (he’s as useful as a chocolate teapot!)
Then a bit of admin for next weeks holiday (taking some stuff for daughter who is busy planning her Christmas film (she does one every year and this year is proving tricky) Then son popped in for a few minutes after his hygienist appointment (he still stays with the dentist practice that I’ve used since moving here in 1972) And then some present ordering……tomorrow podiatrist and Dexa scan……I’m breathless!

I’m breathless reading Moomy!
we had chickens for 10 years! Today we rehomed them, gone to a lovely farm, 5 hens. At the moment I’m relieved as family don’t have to come and feed when we away.
I loved having them, grandchildren loved them too, each had its own personality!!

Podiatry done, I reckon he finds more corns every time! But walking on air now….
Drove into the centre for Dexa scan, the place is behind a big Sainsburys and as I was well early, I popped in to get a few bits including lunch. Back to Goldie-van to sit in comfort for lunch, then scan and now home for the post-lunch coffee.

Got my recipe book out to make Christmas pud tomorrow, it’s a freezer recipe that we all like very much.
Began shopping for Christmas and the kids birthdays, phew! At last.
Daughter is probably going to talk at a medical conference in Cancun, Mexico in January, and being paid for it too!

One parcel arrived; still waiting on the other…..
I’ve been doing a lot of organising and have thrown out a goodly amount of out of date alcohol/ old bottles. Sorted out a lot of glasses too. My drinks cabinet is a whole lot better organised! Hmmmm, thinking of having a drink now!
