But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I took quite a while, hubs patiently sitting in the other room (sliding door between rooms) First 'take' I'd cut off the top of my head!
And anyway, I'm now a member of Eric Whitacre's Virtual choir 6! And have printed out my certificate! Hahahaha!

Next project will most likely be making face masks, I suspect! I strongly suspect we will eventually get told to make/wear/use some sort of face covering. Thankfully I've got some spare cotton which I know washes well, also some interfacing which I know works well at stopping small particles (its getting on to be near the level of protection that is advised for best home made use) but need to hunt out more elastic/ribbon.. Hmmm, do I remember how to use the sewing machine?!!! Hahahah!

Hi moomy
great minds and all that lol I’ve ordered some
wire on amazon for nose clip on masks . I was lucky found some shearing elastic in sewing box . Along with interface I also have a brand new white cotton base valance
A friend sent me this one she had made her daughter lives in Germany and has been making them there .margaret x
I saw an excellent simple one, a tube with a long ribbon; you put the ribbon round your neck, thread both ends through the tube and then tie round your head and adjust the tube to suit! I will put a layer of interfacing in the inside and add something like a twist tie to make the nose fold. If it’s loose then a tube cut from old tights hold it tighter.....

This morning I've reverted back to jogging/marching on the spot to keep fit, I've carried on yoga all the time but did lessen the keep fit while I was rehearsing and trying to get my recording done. Now it's all in the hands of the gods (producers) and we will hopefully see the results sometime in the summer, they think.
I've got some different bread mixes (courtesy of Amazon, not cheap but they look promising) and am making a totally different loaf in my bread machine. A standard white loaf with the addition of some spelt flour has got a bit boring, so todays new loaf has a mix of granary bread mix with white flour, a smaller amount of yeast, butter, sugar and salt due to the bread mixes being 'complete'. It looks and smells good, next for the taste test! (It's still warm!)

The new loaf is yummy!
and I’ve done my yoga today too.
Got a really painful joint on my right index finger; it’s been swollen and out of shape for a good few years now, left index finger is bad too, but that is the end joint, this one is the joint between end and knuckle joint, or as the hand therapists call it, the proximal interphalageal joint. I’m thinking it’s partly due to the fact I couldn’t get glucosamine and chondroitin, also swapped away from Loratidine to Piriton to help me sleep. I’m back on both, but the pain is possibly helped by Letrozole (!) so it might be the right decision to change to Tamoxifen, which I will be going into very soon. Interesting thoughts. I might try contrast baths, I might just try heat, as in wax bath type warmth.
