But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

And I don’t ache too much this morning either.....
my normal Saturday coming up, demonstrating Enigma and the Bombe which helped break the settings. I know we have at least two visitors as a friend who runs a B&B texted last night to make sure, he has a couple who want to come!

It was lovely to see our son for a few minutes today.
i did my walk/jog, managed to run one complete minute at a reasonable pace during the session, but I think I need to repeat week one a fair few times before properly progressing as I’m not managing the whole 8 minutes run each time! (But then I am ancient, lol!)

Sadly I suspect 74 year old knees aren’t keen on beginning to jog/run, right knee has been playing up a bit and it’s doing so more often.
think it may be back to fast walking but I will still keep that up 3 times a week. Plus yoga of course, and I’m careful of knees doing that.
ah well, it was a good plan to try to gain a bit more bond density and a bit more blood vessel elasticity. Perhaps the fast walking will do that?

So fast walking, almost 3 miles today; took hubs’ sharps box in then visited the Sugar Craft shop for help. I’m making a big cake for a Bombe event in March so wanted advice, got lots of advice and help, plus encouragement! I’ve got around half the ingredients so a shop soon will sort the rest. The shop has boards and boxes in plenty of different sizes so I should manage! It won’t be light as it will be a 12 inch round fruit cake! I promise photos....

Got my shopping list organised, I’ve actually got around half of the ingredients. Think I may need to swallow shopping pride and go to the cheapest source for the rest, perhaps Tesco (I hate that store) or much better, Lidl (which I like!)
today it’s lunchtime choir but as we’ve only got one car I have to drop hubs at the museum first as he has a meeting, then pick him up later.
