But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Got all but currants from Lidl, currants from Tesco.
baking tomorrow then!
This evening popped into town to see what a developer is wanting to do near us; yet another email of objection will now go to the council to refuse planning, but I suspect the council have been thoroughly bribed to let it through. It would mean demolition of two houses which the developers already own and the removal of a tree preservation order on a magnificent mature oak tree, and they reckon an extra 300 houses won’t make more of a traffic problem? Crazy opinion! Traffic problems from our small town are progressively worse every day!

So after a night of worrying (oh dear!) I made a few decisions. I was making too big a cake (had planned on too large a possible audience) and so although I’ve got all the cake ingredients now, I will be making a 9” cake.
so paste and icing will be less, so less expense, and base and box too. Phew!
think I should sleep easier tonight, especially as I’ve done some icing watching on line!

Looks as if the ‘shrooms are ready for a risotto tonight!
swift walk this lunchtime and after my sandwich I vacuumed around the house, and helped hubs hold things and clear up after a sticky door has been sanded, bless him he tripped while clearing up so I had him to help up and then clear things he’d knocked over on his way down! Fortunately he’s totally unhurt but a bit shaken. He has bad spinal stenosis (neck down) and can’t stand for very long until his legs go numb then he tries to carry on, obstinacy is his middle name. So yes, I’ve been his carer for many years, even before 2004 when daughter developed lymphoma.

Hubs has a bit of a sore shoulder after his fall, but is ok.
i made a fab risotto and we both really enjoyed it! I added a bit of this and a bit of that (had a few left overs, chicken, carrot, teeny sprouts) plus a spoon of creme fraiche and grated Parmesan too.

Poor daughter has had to cut short her solo tour of parts of the USA as her cold had got worse (sinuses again) and she lost her voice!
she’s arranged flights back early from Washington DC via Istanbul to Heathrow! Strange! So she’s being driven around Virginia on a beautifully sunny day, seeing the Blue Mountains and viewing the distant Appalachians, some of the Uni staff are really taking care of her. Tonight her flight is just before midnight EST and she will get to Istanbul around 5 am then the flight from there gets her into Heathrow at 9pm. She has been presented with a certificate from the American Cancer Society, as a certificate of recognition! I know her plan involved visiting a cancer centre there. We will no doubt know more when she’s home.
I'm hoping the twinges ‘down below’ don’t develop into another bout of cystitis, have gone to bed having downed a mug of water and a mug of cystopurin. Hope it staves it off....

Here we go again, another UTI!
fortunately I had a box of Nitrofurantoin and began just before midnight, managed to get a few hours sleep, had a second dose, pain and burning is easier but the urgency is still there. Also have lower back pain.
I took a sample before I started the antibios and have messaged GP asking for it to be tested. Will take it when some of the urgency eases!
