But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Ouchy!
i think I’ve strained my back, left side, possibly sacro-iliac joint but certainly the long muscles (Latissimus Dorsi) on the left side of my spine are really sore!
It started yesterday and got progressively worse during the day, not helped by doing some gardening when I got home after the lunchtime concert......
regular painkillers, methinks (can’t take anti inflammatories) and taking it easy today doing Bombe demos.....

I really don’t know, Seaspirit, I’ve a dodgy back anyway (a bad scoliosis) and try to keep it sorted with regular exercises, I suspect the sacro-iliac joint decided to slip and the whole back went into spasm. It’s much easier now, but still tender so regular pain relief and those exercises are being done to keep sorted!

Ahaaaa! I know what I did to stir up the back problem as I may well have irritated it again! It was getting the heavy ‘green’ bin with lots of garden rubbish as well as food scraps around from back garden to front ready for the bin men tomorrow, it is full of some of the old tomato pots’ compost, although it’s dried out it is still heavy and there are 3 steps to get it over....
ah well, plenty of paracetamol are available.....

Hmmmmm, Seaspirit, I suspect you’re right, I will have to take more care! Especially as I’m usually the stronger one here now!

Hi all , I’ve been having hip muscle pain ( ct ruled out anything sinister) . Doctor told be to log on to NHS and search back exercises , also to look for tennis ball massage for lower back and hip pain . I also went to chiropractor as painkillers made me feel ill . She did her bit and also advised using the tennis ball - and it does work . I have managed to stay off of the painkillers . Doctor and chiropractor told me it can take months to go away . Seems Chemo can cause muscle to tighten.

And yes, those green bins are heavy when full and I’m thankful that it’s empty again (though sadly not for long I fear!)
my back has complained today too but I’ve learnt from last week that I take it really easy and sit well and lie down when able (plus keep up the regular pain relief)

Sometimes you thank your lucky stars!
had a day doing very little physical activity yesterday and sat down a lot (it was Bombe engineering day and though I was useful it was still a quieter day for me) and then shopped on the way home, my back has really improved!
Just in time for yoga tonight!
