But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

I’ve had root canal on front tooth and extraction on neighbour. The specialist charged almost 4 figure sum! !! And will charge more for specialist work on dubious asymptomatic one which has had root canal & a crown 15 years ago.
root canal work won’t stop my Biphosphonates but another extraction will…
we’ve almost decided we don’t do anything….but….

this is nice and peaceful to gaze upon….
Don’t see why you can’t just pay for consultation Jayhay
Maybe another dentist offers that? If I find an appropriate dentist nearer to me I would probably register and “try them out” before de registering current one.

I think we are coming to that conclusion. The dentist was a bit pushy at the time. I am still recovering from latest extraction , it’s been a week only. Struggling with the denture too…
i can’t face anything more right now…
thanks for being there, a stressed week!

This morning already feels long and it’s only 8.15am!!! But I got up super-early to drop daughter at the station, she’s got a day of Christmas concerts in London, I think in Greenwich, so is collecting the trombone that she keeps in Trinity College of Music to use through the day. There’s food and drinks afterwards so she’s getting a taxi home from the station, hence me going her a lift in.
my first gym session is later this morning, a stretch and movement class. Daughter managed to get me a month membership! I’ve no idea what to expect….but will report back!
It’s quite late morning so might have lunch there before getting home. I’ll need to walk Henry-dog before I go of course. He’s presently sitting by the warm air vent (not daft, he knows where it’s warmest!)

Take your time Jayhay
Youre dealing with change and that can take time and also having to make decisions when you’re stressed isn’t easy. Hopefully in a week you’ll have recovered/healed from your last dental intervention and things may become more comfortable.

It was great, David Lloyd don’t really do induction, but I took an easy class to start with and the stretches were just right, even with that I feel I’ve ’done Something’ so well worthwhile. I guess I will just pop to the spa anytime I find I’ve a couple of hours free….lunch was good, £8.95 for a 3 egg omelette mushrooms and spinach, and of course I didn’t need to lift a finger! (Or do the washing up, haha!)
