But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Today I walked through the Nidd gorge to get to Knaresborough, glad I took water as it was thirsty-making, steeper than the countryside around me at home!
Struggled up the steep hills into town and checked the time for bus back, it was good. So I did a little shopping again as I could manage that by bus!
picked some wild garlic en route and have used some for my dinner, it was yummy. Great to see wood anemones, garlic and bluebells all growing. Oh and a robin sat and looked at me!

Daughter has what sounds like an ultrasound guided punch biopsy (and we all know what they are like) times three. The doctor who did that works closely with Graham Collins (the haematology consultant in the Churchill in Oxford, well regarded in lymphoma worlds) and will also be reporting on tomorrows PET scan. Reports of biopsy will take 10 days excluding bank holidays, so probably a couple of weeks.
I was in Ripon earlier today, went into the Cathedral and said a few words and lit a candle for our lass too.

Oh I pray not a return of Hodgkin’s. Take care.
