But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Blood test done a bit earlier than scheduled, now home again and have phoned the chap who came to look, he’s coming again around 12.30, I explained what was wrong and he’s going to try to mend or at least, make secure.
Daughter is off doing some adjudicating and then off to Heathrow for a flight out to Sweden for a talk she’s giving tomorrow (she’s going to have to get her talks listed as a different company for tax purposes!) and she’s home again late Friday. We always used to call her a whirlwind, she’s still rather like that even now 20 years later!

moomy ....I hope you're feeling less shocked today. I can sympathise with the sun....I am short so the window shield doesn't do much if the sun is rising or setting. As we live in a dip, certain times of the year....or day...finding the road is impossible.
At least for the window it is dry and a bit warmer this week. It's a nuisance but as others said....you and your daughter are both ok. Much more important than car lights and windows.
Hope the bloods are as you want. Mine had improved and yesterday the neurologue tweaked in a reducing direction. Trial for six months to see if results stay in normal band. As they don't help with weight.....reducing was good news.
Now, go and sit in the sun ( outside or by a window?) and have a nice rest.
Love Karen
Hi Lacomtekp , all is good thank you, after the ‘window’ chap had been I feel less like a total idiot and more ok about it all, have had blood test and now relaxing.
My van light can be fixed easily by my friendly mechanic on the drive when it arrives (and apparently it was bought at a really good price, thanks daughter!)
I do need a complete new window but he’s had a look at a different couple of locks for me fitted at the same time and will privately order parts which will be guaranteed for 5 years rather than the one which is obviously out of date now, as the doors are 2 1/2 years old. (He then said in around 4 1/2 years to call him in and he’ll find a fault and get them replaced again under warranty, haha!) So the charge to do that is a fraction of what the glazing company would charge, and he made sure the window panel is fitted back securely and sealed it so it won’t leak, till they order the new window which might be around 6 weeks.
Glad your bloods have improved and meds can get reduced….always a good sign. The weather here is glorious, I think a bit of gardening is on the cards later this afternoon.

My walk late this morning, I heard a number of robins obviously challenging others to the best mates/nests/areas, spotted this wee chap singing away

the lane where I walk to, is a very old road/lane by the side of the Common and I suspect most of the trees and hedges are also old and the birds feel safe there.

And today’s blood test to check if I have heart failure proves that I haven’t, yay!
I also asked Onco if I could have some loperamide ‘melts’ and pharmacy gave me a pack of 18. As if I’m away from a water supply I just can’t swallow capsules, no matter how small. result!!!

Morning....you should be ok with the booster. We have three because our walls are one metre thick but they work well changing each time we moveÄĽ to a better signal. Bon chance!
I have been gardening today. I am experimenting with plants that don't need much water and that will survive up to -18°. If they work.......I'll increase next summer. I do like my trailing geraniums and impatiens but they do need plenty of water to keep them looking nice. I have an underground tank which is very full now but by July. ..it may not be. So I am trying new varieties of trailing carnations and sedams. We shall see?
OH has a diabetic rv today. He thought it was yesterday. We were just about to leave when the automatic reminder came through from the clinic.....today!
