But not a very patient one!
I've at least got a diagnosis, it's invasive ductal cancer grade 2, but still small, oestrogen receptive but looks as if I might get away with the lymph nodes....and maybe not too much treatment afterwards?
Complex plan, but to begin with, a sentinel node (plus another one or so) removal as day surgery, (a nuclear medicine visit first to get 'the jab' for them to trace) then a gap while that, plus the HER result come back, then because of my previous surgeries for cysts and the fact one resulted in a massive haematoma, therefore scar tissue, I will have a complete mastectomy with an implant. That will be immediately after Easter.
By finding out as much as possible beforehand, the surgeon hopes to prevent too many operations. Obviously I will then need Tamoxifen or similar, so will appreciate helpful advice about that.
But I'd be interested on anyone's 'take' on her plan. I feel reassured that she took time with me, and the BC nurse afterwards spent a good while too.

Transport worked out fine, thanks HappyFeet1 and it transpires the volunteers are looking for more drivers! Sadly I don’t think a motorhome would be the answer so I won’t be volunteering when eye is ok.
Onco was far more interested in how many times I needed to dash to the loo (sorry tmi!) than anything else, said nausea shouldn’t be a problem (it was on the list that you yourself handed me, Prof!) but will ensure I get Cyclizine each time.
Exemstane should be prescribed by GP but I explained it hadn’t yet, as I’ve a review of meds in November 1st, Prof said I needed to phone them and ask it’s prescribed urgently. will do so (yet another thing to remember to organise!)

Hope your oncologist appointment went well. Good you are seeing the eye dr soon as need those peepers.

Bless you Hopeful Barb , onco was funny, all he seemed bothered about was if I had ‘the runs’ and how often.
How are you doing? Back home yet? Is the damage to that floor repairable?
Eye is no worse but yes I’m pleased it’s going to be seen.

Thanks, seaspirit44 , I’m already using their standard antibiotic and steroid drops (Maxtrol) but suspect it might just need a bit extra. Your experience is reassuring. First eye was straightforward, the sister said sometimes it was easier the other way round as then the patient was fine second time! I gather this does quite often happen?
Feeling a bit ‘not quite right today’, think I’m tired to be honest.

Good for you Moomy. You asked me how I was doing and sometimes I don’t feel like I am holding it all together. It is so overwhelming at times as your life just gets so chaotic quickly. I feel kind of like when I first found out I had breast cancer. We are getting things done but OMG it is a full time job. We have a lot of wonderful folks who have helped us and our son is great. He is a Lieutenant in the fire department so works the hurricanes all the time. Cooler weather now so real nice. Hugs to you and hope you do ok on abemaciclib. Causes runs sir sure.
Barbara
Glad you’re ok, though clearing up can’t be pleasant, Hopefully
Eye checked out, healing well and replacement lens looking in an excellent position. The doc thinks it’s continuing results of the blepharitis I had pre-op, and it’s actually not as bad either as I’d begun using the wipes after advice. I apologise for panicking, but he was reassuring and said they were much happier to see patients early if they are concerned, rather than risking sight.
so it’s continue as I am, using the Maxtrol drops plus wipes.
He was interested in how long I’ve worn contact lenses, (I was 20 so a long long time) and said I was probably the expert, and who looked after the keratoconus, I replied ‘here’
